Rodney R. Braatz

Rodney R. Braatz, age 70, of North Fond du Lac, died Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. He was born on August 2, 1954, in Appleton, WI, the son of Robert and Louise (Salzman) Braatz. Rodney graduated from Goodrich High School. On August 15, 1975, he married Patricia Shafer at Church of Peace in Fond du Lac. Together they had three kids. Rodney worked at Bemis until retiring in 2004. He enjoyed traveling, especially to North and South Carolina and Disney World. He was an avid sports fan, including the Packers and college basketball.

Survivors include his children, Jamie (Larissa) Braatz, Shaun (Jennifer) Braatz, and Carrie (Derek) Besaw; three grandchildren, Madilyn, Riley, and JJ; his brothers, Dale (Cheryl) Braatz and Billy Braatz; brother-in-law, Mike Sperbeck; special niece, Katie (Matt) Kahlhamer; close friends, Earl and Linda Fryman; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Gena Sperbeck and Sharene (Bob) Kind.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 2:00 PM. Cremation has taken place.
