Ronald R. Jaworski
Ronald R. Jaworski, age 74, Berlin, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024. Ron was born July 21, 1949, the son of Roman B. and Beverly J. (Kempfer) Jaworski.
Ron graduated from Ripon High School in 1968, with the nickname “Pugsley”. He worked at the Advertisers in Ripon, and Fabriko in Green Lake as a sewing machine mechanic.
His dream to build and own a log cabin tavern came true in the late 1990s. He built Arnie’s II along County Road E north of Ripon. He later sold it, and the bar remains as the Log Cabin.
Ron never had children of his own, but he enjoyed introducing his nieces and nephews to new experiences, such as hunting, fishing, building, and working in his bar. They, in return once tackled “Uncle Ronnie” and dressed him in a fur coat and eye shadow.
Ron was an avid sportsman and owned several hunting properties over his life. If it moved, he shot it. He was dedicated to the conservation of wildlife habitat as a Diamond Member of Ducks Unlimited and was deeply interested in the early-2000s restoration of Rush Lake. Throughout his life he enjoyed being an assistant scoutmaster and playing slow-pitch softball.
He often kept to himself but loved his family and was known to make surprise visits bearing gifts at Christmas. One year, he brought socks for everyone. This past Christmas, he dropped by with a stack of Ducks Unlimited prints. “I’m cleaning stuff out,” he announced.
Ron is survived by two sisters: Christine Perez (Ron Minemier) of Ripon and Mary Eilers of Middleton, Wis., and brother, William (Tami) Jaworski of Plymouth, Wis., 11 nieces and nephews, and 10 great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John.
Per the wishes of the family, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life for Ron will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 1:00PM at Divine Passage Funeral Home, 175 N Douglas Street, Ripon.
