Ruth L. Stiehr

 

Ruth L. Stiehr, 88, a resident
of the St. Francis
Home, Fond
du Lac, died Wednesday, January 7, 2015.

 

She was born on January 22,
1926, in Fond du Lac,
a daughter of John H. and Lillie T. Bensen Merrill.

 

On September 26, 1944, she
married Florian E. Stiehr at Salem Evangelical Church,
Fond du Lac.

 

Ruth was a member of Salem United
Methodist Church,
and active in the Triple L Circle.  She also was a member of the Mayflower
Society and D.A.R.

 

She is survived by two
sons:  Jon (Linda) Stiehr of Oakwood, Georgia,
and Marc (Bari)
Stiehr of Hoffman Estates, Illinois; four grandchildren:  Ericka Sanner-Stiehr, Erin (Brant) Watson,
Matthew Stiehr, and Kristin (Ryan) Lindvall; five great-grandchildren; and two
nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by
her parents; her husband, Florian, on September 5, 2013; and her sister, Jean
Bertram.

 

The funeral service will be
held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 12, 2015, at Mach Funeral Chapel &
Crematory, 31 East Division Street,
Fond du Lac.

 

The visitation will be on
Monday at Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory from 9:00 a.m.             until the time of service.

 

Entombment will follow in the
Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Ledgeview
Memorial Park.

 

Memorials may be directed to Salem United
Methodist Church.
