Ryan James Carlson

Ryan James Carlson, born on January 26,1981, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, to his loving parents Donald and Carol Carlson passed away on August 27,2024 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin after a long battle with mental illness, now becoming his family and friend’s guardian and protector.

Ryan was born and raised in Fond du Lac Wisconsin, graduating from Goodrich High School in 1999.

Ryan was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend who brought light and joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. From a young age, Ryan was always full of spark. He was always ready with a warm smile, and his kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

Ryan enjoyed karate, kick boxing, roller skating, working on projects with his father, going for drives with his mother through the park and getting ice cream, catching some sun by the lake, fishing and hunting. You could always find Ryan dancing, his love for dancing and music was unimaginable. If Ryan wasn’t dancing in the house, you could find him in the club or in a car driving down the road dancing from the driver or passenger seat! Ryan enjoyed lifting weights and working out at the gym. Ryan maintained a strong focus on fitness and health and being the best version of himself.

Ryan worked many of his years in the hospitality field. His ability to connect with people and his desire to make a difference in the lives of others were among his greatest gifts. Though Ryan faced challenges that were not always visible to others, he will be remembered for the love, laughter and positivity he brought into this world. The impact Ryan had on his family and friends will never be forgotten.

Ryan is survived by his beloved mother and best friend Carol Carlson of Fond du Lac, Brother and sister in law, Jamie and Shauna Carlson of Baraboo, Nieces, Jalayne (Mitchell) Miskov of Fond du Lac, Kaylee (Troy) Myers of Fond du Lac, Faith (Jacob) Carlson of Fond du Lac, Hannah (Logan) Carlson of Fond du Lac, Abbey and Brooke Vick of Baraboo, Nephew Aaryn Carlson of Fond du Lac, and his special dog Lizzy Girl, along with family and great friends. He was preceded in death by his father Donald Carlson who he deeply missed, grandparents Everet and Georgia Carlson, grandmother Alice Thorsby, aunts, Mary Mecklenburg, Judy and Carol Carlson, uncles Gordy, Howie and Dale Carlson, Keith Borchardt, and David Thorsby.

We will gather to remember the life of our beloved Ryan.
