Shelda “Shelley” Rose Owens

Shelda “Shelley” Rose Owens, (nee Leistner) Passed away peacefully on August 8, 2013, at age 77. Shelley was born in Milwaukee, WI on April 26, 1936, to the late John C. Leistner and Rosella I. Behymer. She and her family later moved to Fort Mitchell, KY where she graduated from Dixie Heights High School in 1955. Shelley raised her three sons in Whitefish Bay, WI and worked as a bookkeeper and executive assistant at Lappin Electric. She also spent a number of years working at Braun Electric and living in Madison, WI. She will be sadly missed by her three sons: J. David Owens (Sally) of New Hope, PA, Dr. William L. Owens (Toni) of West Bend, WI, and Robert J. Owens (Kari) of River Falls, WI; 8 grandchildren; and sister Susan A. Fossett of Union, KY. Shelley was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Family will privately conduct a memorial and interment.
