Thomas Eugene Karls

Thomas Eugene Karls, 68, of Chilton, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on August 18, 2023 at SSM Hospice Home of Hope, Fond du Lac.

Thomas was born on February 11, 1955 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, son of the late Joseph and Leona (Kraus) Karls. He was a Chilton High School graduate, class of 1973.

Thomas is survived by a brother James (Teresa) Karls and sister Mary (Tom) Stilp; nieces and nephews, Brenda (Patrick) Karls-Skalecki and Mark (Melissa) Karls, Brian (Dawn) Hanke and Lisa (Nick) Bretl; great nephews and nieces, Austin and Lindsey Skalecki, Braeden and Cody Karls, and Dominick and Grant Bretl.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Per Tom’s wishes, a private family funeral service with a Mass of Christian Burial will take place. He was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, Chilton and will be laid to rest at the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

The family thanks Fr. Jon (Good Shepherd); the nurses and staff at SSM Hospice, Aurora Cancer Care team, and Aurora Hospice team members for their compassion given to Tom. The family also thanks the nieces, nephews, and cousins for their phone calls, visits, cards, and gifts.
