Thomas Paul Rumbuc
Thomas Paul Rumbuc, age 69, of Fond du lac, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at the Fond du lac Lutheran Home.
Thomas was born on July 10, 1954, in Fond du lac, to the late John and Ethel (nee Pixley) Rumbuc. Thomas was a family man who loved to spend time with his son, nieces, and nephews. He spent 8 years in the Navy and 4 years in the Army Reserve. Thomas’s favorite holiday was Easter and he enjoyed decorating the eggs and filling the easter baskets. He loved to read to his son and especially loved to read the Bible. His faith grew as he got older. Thomas was known at the Lutheran Home as the Candy man. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Those left to cherish Thomas’s memory include his son, Holand Rumbuc; stepdaughter, Amber Rumbuc; three step-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary (Jim) Angle, Gail (Jerry) Moon, and Sharon Peebles; six brothers, Danny (Nancy) Rumbuc, Jim Rumbuc, Preston (Sharon) Rumbuc, Steve Rumbuc, Paul (Janell) Rumbuc, and Gary (special friend Lynn) Rumbuc; many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, Thomas is preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny and Donald Rumbuc; brother in-law, David Peebles.
VISITATION: Thomas’s family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., at Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du lac Avenue.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: A Memorial Service for Thomas will follow visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Chaplain Jim Mallmann officiating the service. Thomas will be buried at Calvary Cemetery in Fond du Lac following his service and will have Military Honors.
Thomas’s family would like to thank Judy and the other ladies from the Lutheran Home Gift Shop and the dedicated staff members who attended to Thomas’s needs.
