Tom Kramer
Tom Kramer passed peacefully away on October 6, 2021, aged 79.
As a devoted father, grandfather, husband, and friend, everyone who met Tom knew him to be kind, gentle, and “little bit mischievous.”
Tom loved woodworking, gardening, camping, hiking, canoeing, traveling. He sang in the South Shore Chorale and in the Sacred Heart Church choir. Most of all, he enjoyed sharing these loves with his children, grandchildren, and his wife, Jane.
Tom was born on April 11, 1942. He was raised on a 370-acre dairy farm and attended St. Mary’s Grade School and St. Mary’s Springs High School. After serving in the Army, Tom worked for Ralston Purina, where he progressed to shift foreman before working at J. F. Ahern as an equipment manager. Tom purchased and ran Badger Fox Dairy for over 10 years before retiring at the Interstate Welding Company. In November 2002, Tom and his wife, Jane established Salon East strip mall.
In Tom’s own words: “My favorite hobby is woodworking. I make furniture, toys for my grandchildren, and any other project that needs doing! I enjoy singing with my wife, Jane. We also enjoy camping and travel. We also garden and can or freeze many of the products we raise. We are also very concerned about the environment which blends well with our gardening.”
Tom is survived by his wife, best friend, and soulmate, Jane Kramer (married on April 10, 1999). Children and grandchildren: Bridget (Alan) Kramer Tarnowski, Conor, Kel and Beatrice, Mike Kramer and Victor, John Kramer (fiancée Samm Dowell), Kennedy and Miranda, and Matthew (Heidi) Kramer. Stepchildren and grandchildren: Tricia (Jamie) Meyer, Danielle and Mitchell, Dennis (Deborah) Gephart, Zachary, and Elizabeth, Michael (friend Jen Blechl) Gephart, Quinn, and Lydia.
