Tony E. Nickel

Tony E. Nickel, 56, of Fond Du Lac, WI passed away from a heart attack on Friday, May 15th. His family and friends are shocked and deeply saddened by his loss.

Tony was a beloved son of Roman and Ruth (Sims) Nickel. He was born on October 8, 1969, in Fond Du Lac, WI. Tony graduated from Oakfield High School in 1988 and then continue to receive his associate degree for Tool & Die Design at Acme Institute of Technology Manitowoc, WI in 1991.

Tony has been employed with Quad Graphics in Lomira, WI for the past 33 years and currently held the position of Finishing Operator.

Tony was a dedicated member of Sons of Zebedee Catholic Church along with an avid fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. Many, many games were watched and celebrated with friends at his home. Tony also made many memories with his hobbies of Darts, Bean Bags, Oktoberfest, Celebrating the County Fair, and Camping.

Survivors include: his mother, Ruth; 2 brothers and 2 sisters: Michael (Debby) Nickel of La Crosse, WI; Debbie (Stanley) Priepke of Lomira, WI; Timothy (Lori) Nickel of Brownsville, WI and Kay Kruncos, of Fond du Lac, WI. 8 nieces and nephews: Steve (Matt McCabe) Priepke, Scott (Brittany DuPree) Nickel, Greg (Nikki) Nickel, Casey (Curtis) Frens, Ben Nickel, Sam (Hailey) Nickel, Megan (Jordan Meier) Kruncos, Ashlynn Kruncos. Along with Great-nieces and nephews: Lorelai Nickel, Miles and Lucas Nickel, Coen and Caden Frens, Theo Rickert, Roman Nickel and many friends.

Tony was preceded in death by his father Roman; infant brothers Robert, Thomas and Joseph Nickel; his grandparents Erwin J. and Marie E. (Laudolff) Nickel and Charles L. and Ruth B. (Branch) Sims.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 29th, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church, Oakfield, WI (Elevator on North Side of Main Church Entrance). A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM, Father Zachary Galante presiding. A luncheon will be served in the St. James Church basement immediately following Mass.

 Entombment will take place at St. Johns Cemetery, Byron, WI at 2:30.
