Virginia F. Haensgen
Virginia F. Haensgen, 72, died Friday, January 22, 2021 at her home in Johnsburg surrounded by her family. She was born in Fond du Lac on February 11, 1948 to Edwin and Leona (Karls) Schneider. On June 28, 1969 Virginia married Gordon Haensgen at St. John the Baptist Church in Johnsburg.
Virginia loved to spend time with her grandchildren, especially watching their many sporting events. She enjoyed gardening and in her younger years played softball. Virginia was a member of St. John the Baptist Church and spent forty years working at Tecumseh in New Holstein, retiring in 2007.
Survivors include her husband, Gordon; four children, Glenn (Vicki) Haensgen, Gregg (Megan) Haensgen, Gail (Shane) Rabe, and Gina (Michael) Popp; nine grandchildren, Gabrielle, Michaela and Brett Haensgen, Gracie and Cooper Haensgen, Landon Rabe, and Conner, Parker and Blake Popp; brother, Jim Schneider; sister, Shirley (Ken) Feyen; three brothers-in-law, Donald (Betty) Haensgen, Gerald (Mary) Haensgen, and Thomas (Deb) Haensgen; two sisters-in-law, Kathy (Dale) Schneider and Debbie (Dan) Halbach; nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister-in law, Joanne Haensgen; and a brother-in-law, Lyle Haensgen.
Visitation will take place from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Church, N8794 County Road W in Johnsburg with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11:00 AM. Private family entombment in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery will follow the service.
