William C. Whitford

William Charles Whitford, 82, of Campbellsport, beloved husband of Mary Riemer-Whitford, passed away peacefully at Serenity Villa in Campbellsport on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. He was born in Idlewild, WI on September 3, 1938, the son of Lee and Erna (nee Hempel) Whitford. Bill married Sharon (nee Schley) Whitford in 1964 and raised three children in Grafton. In 1996 Bill married Mary Riemer at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Muskego. Bill and Mary are members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Dundee. Bill enjoyed playing Ping-Pong with the kids, golfing, traveling and sports. He was a lifelong employee of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel working as a pressman.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife Mary Riemer-Whitford, children Russell (Lynette) Whitford, Cynthia Whitford and Lori Rhyner, stepchildren Gary (Beth) Riemer and Lori (Robert) Choinski, siblings George (Sue) Whitford, Betty (Carl) Weidner and Roger (Dorothy) Whitford, 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and brother Richard.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 12th from 10:00 AM until time of a memorial service at 12:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dundee (W494 Elm St. Campbellsport). Pastor Bobby Oberg will officiate.
