William F. Lustig Sr.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William F. Lustig Sr., who departed his life with a very progressive unknown liver cancer that took him very quickly on December 10, 2025 at the age of 77.

William was born on August 19, 1948 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is preceded in death by his parents Rudolph and Ruth Lustig along with his six other siblings, William being the baby of the family.

William was drafted to the Army back on December 12, 1968 to serve his country in the Vietnam War as a Military Police Officer until January 24, 1970. In 1973 he married his life-long partner Barbara Jean (Murrenus) Lustig on August 25, 1973. Bill was a dedicated loving husband to Barbara and she was his world. He was a devoted father to his two children, Michelle (John) Gronkowski and William (Cindy) Frederick Lustig Jr. Bill was a proud grandfather to his eight grandchildren, Robert Royce Lustig, Kyle John Gronkowski, Preston Thomas Schoonover, Karlei Jean-Marie Gronkowski, Lliam Frederick Lustig, Kashmeire Drake Lustig, Miliah Lorene Lustig and Roman Rudolf Lustig.

Bill was a hard-working individual that provided for his family that he loved so much. He was a loyal and good friend to many, whether he was telling his jokes, stories he had, singing to the oldies, playing baseball with his friends, wearing his desert boots, yelling in cribbage, sheepshead or poker. Bill was a man of numbers and loved his sports. He will always be a memorable loud soul and an unforgettable man that was loved by all!

A short gathering will be held at Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 East Division Street, Fond du Lac, WI on December 22, 2025 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. At 1:30pm we will have Military Honors and flag ceremony with a closing prayer.
