William J. Seefeld

William J. Seefeld, 85, of Campbellsport passed away peacefully at SSM St. Agnes Hospital on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 with his brother, Don at his side.  He was born May 26, 1938 in Campbellsport, the son of Henry and Mae (St. Mary) Seefeld. 
Bill attended Glen Valley Grade School in rural Campbellsport and was a 1956 graduate of Campbellsport Highschool. He received his associate degree from UW Madison and in 1963 graduated from UW Oshkosh.  He started his career as student teacher in Madison followed by teaching Social Studies at Oconto High School.  Bill coached Drama Club and also directed school plays.  His teaching career lasted 33 years at Oconto Highschool, retiring in 1998, and moving back to his home in Campbellsport.
While living in Oconto, Bill golfed for enjoyment & competition.  He was part of the same golf “foursome” for 30 years and was also part of a traveling foursome on weekends.  

Bill enjoyed stamp collecting, old movies and radio stations, casino gambling from time to time, bowling and spending many hours playing scot and sheepshead with local Senior Citizen groups.  Along with teaching, Bill’s strongest involvement was his faith after accepting Jesus in 5th grade.  He is a member of Trinity Methodist Church in Lomira.  Bill was involved with his church, serving his church in many different capacities and he still attended most Sunday services.  

Bill is survived by his brother Don, many cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.  

A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Methodist Church, 300 Church St., Lomira on Wednesday, October 25th with visitation from 4 PM until time of Service at 6 PM.   Private burial at Union Cemetery, Campbellsport will be at a later date.
