William W. Kagel

William W. Kagel, 87, of Campbellsport, WI

Died peacefully on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at SSM St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac surrounded by his family.

William W. Kagel was born on March 19, 1937, in Park Falls, WI, to the late Ralph W. and Ruth M. (Schliefe) Kagel. Throughout his 87 years, Bill lived a full and rich life, marked by his deep love for his family, his passion for the outdoors, and his sharp business acumen. His joyful spirit and adventurous nature brought light to everyone who knew him.

In May of 1995, Bill was united in marriage to Karen A. Kratz in Las Vegas, NV. Together, they shared a loving partnership and a life filled with unforgettable memories. Bill was especially devoted to his family, and his warmth, wisdom, and sharp wit will be missed by all who loved him.

Bill is survived by his wife, Karen; daughters Christine (Jeffrey) Owen, Patricia (Timothy) Felt, and Shelly (Robert) McQueeney; grandchildren Cullen (Melanie) Owen, Sylas (Sierra) Owen, Morgan Owen, Erik Felt, Hannah (Preston) Goodman, Riley McQueeney, and Mayson McQueeney; and great-grandchildren Redford and Wittiker Goodman. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends who cherished his company.

He was preceded in death by his beloved step daughter Kelly, and his parents, Ralph and Ruth Kagel.

Bill’s life was a reflection of his love for nature, and in his memory, the family invites all to plant a tree or spend time in the garden—acts that honor his lifelong connection to the outdoors and his appreciation for the simple joys in life.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 29th from 11:00 am at the Campbellsport Alliance Church, N1876 County Road V, Campbellsport. A Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 pm at the Alliance Church with Rev. Doug Birr officiating.

Bill will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. May his spirit continue to inspire those who carry his memory.

He will be forever remembered, forever loved.
