Omicron Now Dominant Strain In Wisconsin
It took just four weeks since the Omicron variant was first detected here for it to become the dominant strain of COVID-19 in Wisconsin. Doctor Ben Weston, Milwaukee County’s chief health policy advisor, says it’s news that’s concerning.
While Omicron cases are milder than previous strains, health care providers are concerned because the new variant is so much more contagious.
