One Dead after Head-On Crash on Highway 151 in Dodge Co.

A 24-year-old
man from Sun Prairie was killed in a crash on Highway 151 in Dodge County
Sunday night. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened around
10 pm just north of the intersection with Redwood Road in-between Beaver Dam
and Waupun. Witnesses to the crash called 9-1-1 to report a minivan traveling
north in the southbound lanes of the highway. The minivan then hit a car
head-on. The driver of the van, a 39-year-old man from Beaver Dam was airlifted
to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Sun Prairie man was the
driver of the car, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Names of those involved
have not been released. Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says “alcohol and
operating on the wrong side of the highway are believed to be contributing
factors in the crash.”. The crash remains under investigation.
