One Killed, 71 Injured in I-41 Pileup

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office has released
updated information regarding the massive pileup on Interstate 41 near Neenah
Sunday morning. In a press conference Sunday evening, authorities said one
person was killed and 71 people were injured in the chain-reaction crash. 66
people were treated and released, while five others were admitted to the
hospital for treatment. The sheriff’s office says 131 vehicles were involved in
the crash and around 500 vehicles were stopped behind the crash and re-routed.
The southbound lanes of the interstate between Highway 10 in Appleton and
Highway 76 in Oshkosh were re-opened to traffic as of 3 o’clock this morning.
