Oshkosh Apartment Fire Displaces 10
The Oshkosh Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire that caused extensive damage to a unit of an apartment building in the 2100 block of Evans Street last night.
At about 8:30, the department was dispatched to the building and found smoke and flames coming from one of the 2nd floor apartments.
The fire was able to be brought under control after about 20 minutes, but not before severely damaging one apartment and causing minor damage to the surrounding apartments.
10 of the buildings residents have been displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross. No injuries were reported.
