Oshkosh Area Humane Society Looking For Foster Homes For Kittens And Cats
Due to an increasing population in kittens and adult cats, the Oshkosh Area Humane Society is looking for foster homes to take in some of the feline friends over the fall and winter.
“We continue to have kittens coming in almost daily,” said Executive Director Jessica Miller.
The Humane Society is able to house about 150 cats and kittens but during busier times, the center may have many more than that and try to get them sheltered temporarily in foster homes.
Miller said “The foster volunteers who helped us during the summer are looking for a break, so we’re hoping we can recruit some cat lovers in our community to help us get through fall.”
The shelter will provide all necessary materials for fostering, including food, beds, litter and litter boxes, dishes, medical care and training.
Anyone interested in fostering can visit the Oshkosh Area Humane Society website or email alaska@oahs.org.
