Oshkosh Donation Box Thief Caught

The 34-year-old Oshkosh woman suspected of stealing a plastic donation box from a Kwik Trip Store returned to the scene of the crime. Oshkosh Police say employees of the store called last Friday afternoon to say she had just been in the store and gave officers the license plate information for her vehicle. Sunday afternoon she was spotted at a BP Gas Station and when she was confronted by police she admitted to taking the donation box. Officers also found some of the money taken from the donation box in her vehicle. A theft charge has been referred to the Winnebago County District Attorney’s Office. The woman has no previous criminal record.
