Oshkosh Police Arrest Shooting Suspect

Oshkosh Police took a 17-year-old man into custody for First Degree Attempted Homicide and multiple other charges related to the shooting that occurred in the 600 Block of Franklin St in the City of Oshkosh

Saturday afternoon.

At that time, officers from the Oshkosh Police Department were dispatched to a report of gunshots in the area of Central St and W Irving Ave. Officers canvassed the area and located the victim, a 20-year-old man, with a gunshot wound.  Officers were able to determine that the shooting occurred in the 600 block of Franklin St.  The victim was transported to a local hospital where he had his injuries treated. The injuries were said to be not life-threatening.

Detectives from the Oshkosh Police Department say this appears to be an isolated incident between the two individuals, and there is no danger to the public.
