Oshkosh Police Investigate “Suspicious Incident” Near Fox River

Oshkosh Police are looking into what is being called a “suspicious incident” along the Fox River. Around 5:30am Sunday morning, officers responded to the area of the Oregon Street Bridge for reports of a person yelling for help. Nobody – including officers – saw anyone in the water, and police were unable to find anyone after searching the shoreline for several hours. An Oshkosh Fire Department boat team was also deployed to help search the water. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
