Oshkosh Starbucks catches fire
Around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2026, the Oshkosh Fire Department as well as Oshkosh Police Department were paged to a report of a fire at the Starbucks restaurant on Oshkosh Avenue near Koeller Street.
Upon arrival, crews found flames coming through the roof of the building.
According to police scanner chatter, there were at least four employees in the building at the time of the fire that were all able to make it out safe prior to the fire department’s arrival. Online records show the establishment opens at 4:30 a.m. however it wasn’t known if any customers were in the restaurant at the time the fire started.
Because of some equipment issues as well as a frozen fire hydrant, a MABAS box alarm page went out to bring in additional crews from surrounding departments.
Oshkosh Avenue, aka Highway 21 was closed for some time while crews worked the scene.
As of 8:45 a.m. crews were still on scene.
