Outagamie County Deputy Fighting For His Life, Battles COVID-19

An Outagamie County deputy is on advanced life support at a medical facility out of state as he fights COVID-19.

Deputy Channing Pompa has been hospitalized since September 26.

In a social media post this week, his family said that Pompa has faced a number of challenges in the past month. He remains sedated but the medical team treating him is hoping to have him awake in the next few weeks.

A GoFundMe page for Pompa and his family has been started.

Pompa has been with the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department since 2020, following 11 years of serving in the US Air Force.
