Over 200 Victims Rescued In Sex Trafficking Sting

Eight people were arrested and four minors rescued in Wisconsin as part of a large nationwide FBI human trafficking sting that took place in August.
Operation Cross Country was an FBI lead initiative meant to disrupt human trafficking organizations and took place over a two week period.
The four rescued in Wisconsin were just a fraction of the total 84 minors rescued overall. 37 of them currently on the actively missing children’s list.
In addition to the minors, 141 adult victims were also rescued resulting in 85 people being arrested for sex trafficking and sexual exploitation offenses.
The FBI partnered with local law enforcement across the country to conduct 391 operations.
The FBI said the average age of victims located was 15.5, while the youngest victim was 11.
