Overturned Semi On Interstate 41 Hampers Traffic In Fond du Lac County

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department as well as the Wisconsin State Patrol responded to a report of a semi overturned in the ditch on Interstate 41 Wednesday, October 12, 2022.

Around a 12:15 PM, calls started coming in reporting the semi in the ditch on the southbound side of 41 at Main Street.

Officers responded to find the semi had entered the right side ditch and then tipped over onto its left side.

The driver refused medical treatment at the scene.

No details have been released at this time as to why the semi left the roadway.

Weather conditions were rainy at the time of the crash.

The Wisconsin State Patrol made a decision to remove the vehicle later in the evening when traffic is lighter. 41 southbound was detoured at Hickory Road at 8 PM while a tow company removed the semi from the ditch.
