Pair of Sheboygan County crashes claim one life – seriously injure child

Sheboygan County officials are investigating two serious crashes in their county Sunday, July 30, 2024.

The first occurred around 9 AM just south of the City of Sheboygan when a vehicle struck a utility pole on Janewood Lane. As emergency personnel arrived on scene they found the driver needed to be extracted out of the wreckage.

Then Just after 1 PM, the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the intersection of County Highway S and Highway 67 in the town of Plymouth for a two-car crash.

According to a witness on scene, a 61-year-old man from Saukville was driving east on highway 67 and struck a vehicle driven by a 53-year-old man from Plymouth that turned into his path, attempting to turn south on County Highway S.

The Saukville man was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 12-year-old passenger in the vehicle was taken to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee by Flight For Life. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
