Parkside Elementary Receives Donation

Parkside Elementary School is the proud recipient of a generous donation made on behalf of the Grande Cheese – Rolling Meadows facility in Fond du Lac, along with a match from the Grande Foundation.  Parkside Elementary School was selected by a committee to be Grande’s annual charity fundraiser recipient for 2012-13.  A portion of these funds will go towards the purchase of the first SMART Board for Parkside which will enhance student learning through interactive lessons. 

The Parkside Health and Wellness Committee will benefit as well from the donation as another portion of the funds will be allocated toward healthy snacks and wellness activities planned throughout the school year.  Shown here with the check from Grande are: (front) Magaly Tinoco, Ashanti McGowan, Gavin Bartels, Kavon Leatherman, Christian Barahona-Granados; (middle) – Aleena Lee, Aria Thompson; (back) – Linda Welsch, Grande representative, Principal Stacey Buchholz, and Karen Yagler, Grande Facility Support Specialist.
