PHOTOS: At least three structures burning in North Fond du Lac

At 12:10, Friday, May 8, 2026, multiple fire departments were sent to an address in the 600 block of Illinois Avenue in North Fond du Lac. Upon arrival, at least two garages and a house were on fire.

According to the North Fond du Lac Police Department, smoke and flames were scene coming from a garage on Illinois Avenue.

As the fire department was being paged, North Fond du Lac officers arrived on scene to find the garage fully engulfed in fire.

High winds spread the fire to the garage and house to the north before fire crews arrived on scene. Because multiple buildings were now involved, a MABAS fire call went out to bring in multiple other departments to assist in fighting the fires.

In total, four garages and two homes were damaged by fire.

No people were injured in the blaze, and four dogs were rescued from one of the houses.

The Red Cross is assisting those affected.
