PHOTOS and VIDEO: Five hour long standoff in Fond du Lac ends with suspect in custody

At approximately 8:30 a.m. Sunday, April 20, 2025, the Fond du Lac Police Department continued its investigation into a Domestic Violence incident which occurred on April 19, 2025.  While Officers were on scene they learned the suspect, a 29-year-old male Fond du Lac resident, was alone inside a residence in the 300 block of Doty Street.

Additional Officers responded, established a perimeter, and attempted to contact the individual.  For the safety of the public and responding officers, surrounding streets were temporarily closed.

The Fond du Lac Police Department and Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office SWAT and Crisis Negotiation teams were activated.  Both agencies also deployed their rescue armored vehicles, K-9 teams, and Technology Response Groups which contain drone and robot resources.  These teams worked to establish communication with the subject. The individual was located by law enforcement at approximately 1:20 p.m.

The subject, was taken into custody without further incident and was transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail.  There were no reported injuries.

The incident is currently under investigation, and further details may be released as they become available.
