PHOTOS: Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue battle house fire overnight – One injured

Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue battled a house fire overnight that injured one person.

At just after 11 PM, the department, along with City of Fond du Lac Police were sent to 247 Packer Street for a report of a fire. When officers arrived on scene, they could see a woman hanging from a second story window. She fell a short time later.

Fire had completely involved the backside of the house and smoke was coming out of just about every window. There was also a truck catching fire near the house as well.

Fire Department members arrived on scene and had the fire under control within 45 minutes while rescue crews tended to the female who had burns to her hands and then transported her to SSM St Agnes Hospital. No one else was in the house at the time.

Due to the size of the fire, A MABAS, or Mutual Aid Box Alarm System call went out which brought in parts of Mt Calvary, Town of Fond du Lac, Lamartine and North Fond du Lac Fire Departments.
Fire investigators from Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue and the Fond du Lac Police Department will be working to determine the cause and origin of the fire. FDL Police Department also assisted with scene and traffic control.
