Pick-Up Truck And Semi Trailer Catch Fire After Crash At 151 And 41

Highway 151 northbound was closed at Highway 41 for a short period of time Monday, December 26, 2022 after a crash which caused both vehicles to catch fire.

Around 9:50 AM the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was called to what appeared to be a black pick-up truck that struck the rear part of the trailer of a DHL semi.

Shortly after the initial call, another call came in that the pick-up truck was on fire.

Wisconsin Department of Transportation cameras showed the pick-up on fire and it was up against the semi trailer.

The semi driver was able to disconnect the cab of the semi and remove it from the scene, but it was completely blocking the northbound lanes of 151 at the 41 northbound offramp.

It was reported that the trailer was empty.

Fire crews from Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue arrived and were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.

By 10:30 AM a Whealons Towing tow truck was on scene removing the vehicles.

There were no reported injuries in the crash.
