Plan Ahead For Business Disruptions Over Memorial Day Weekend

City of Fond du Lac residents are asked to plan ahead for the upcoming holiday weekend.

City offices in the City/County Government Center will be closed on Monday, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

The Municipal Service Center will also be closed for all services, including refuse and recycling collection and bulky waste drop off. There will be no refuse and recycling collection on Monday, May 29. Garbage normally collected on Monday will be collected on Tuesday, May 30th with the normal Tuesday collection. Refuse collectors ask that you have your materials set out by 5:00 am on Tuesday to accommodate the additional collections.

Recycling collection, performed by Waste Management, will have a one-day service delay throughout the remainder of week.

City Transit buses will not operate on Monday but will resume regular routes on Tuesday.

The Senior Center will be closed on Monday, also reopening Tuesday.

And the Fond du Lac Public Library will be closed beginning Saturday, May 27 through Monday, May 29. They will reopen on Tuesday, May 30.
