Plea hearing for Elijah Vue’s mother’s child neglect case again postponed

The plea hearing for Katrina Baur, the mother of a missing 3-year-old Elijah Vue, has been postponed for a second time as the search for the missing boy enters month 5.

Baur’s attorney said in a letter to the court yesterday that there’s a scheduling conflict with the currently scheduled plea date, which was scheduled just a week ago after the attorney asked for the previous date to be rescheduled, asking for more time to work out items of discussion. The plea date has now been moved to August 5 and changed into a scheduling conference.

Baur is facing charges of chronic child neglect and obstructing an officer. She’s been in police custody on the charges for nearly 5 months now. Arrested Just days after the reported disappearance of her son Elijah in Two Rivers. She has pleaded not guilty.

Police say they found a deleted picture of Elijah on Baur’s phone showing him blindfolded on a bed with what appears to be bruises on his jaw, neck, and arm inside her boyfriend’s Two Rivers apartment.
