Plymouth Woman Sentenced For Fatal Accident

The 51-year-old Plymouth woman who caused a fatal accident in Fond du Lac County last August has been sentenced to a year in jail and four years of probation on a homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle charge. Fond du Lac County Judge Dale English sentenced Laurie Garcia Wednesday for the August 14th accident that killed 53-year-old Kathleen Fee of Fond du Lac. Garcia was passing a line of cars on Highway 23 east of Fond du Lac and Fee who was in the oncoming lane went on the shoulder of the road to avoid her. She lost control and was hit by another car. Garcia will also be on extended supervision, had her driver’s license taken away from her for a year and will have to do 50 hours of community service each of the four years she’s on probation.
