Police looking for reckless driver who eluded police in three counties

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office and the Wisconsin State Patrol are looking for the driver of a vehicle that led them on two separate high speed pursuits that spanned three counties Sunday, November 17, 2024.

At 10:35 AM, a deputy with the sheriff’s office attempted a traffic stop on a 2006 silver Lexus on I-41 northbound near Lone Elm Road. The driver pulled over to the shoulder temporarily but then increased

their speed, leading the deputy on a pursuit that reached speeds of 130 mph. The pursuit proceeded well north into Winnebago County where the driver exited at Highway 21 westbound in Oshkosh.

The deputy chased the vehicle west for about a mile before terminating the pursuit.

A short time later, a State Patrol Trooper saw the vehicle in Green Lake County and attempted a traffic stop on it, but the driver again fled in an attempt to elude. This pursuit was also terminated for safety reasons.

Law enforcement say they have an idea of who the driver is, but they are asking the public if anyone has any additional information on the driver. The registration on the vehicle was AYY 6893. Police also say the registered owner of the vehicle has a history of drug offenses.
