Pool Hours Due To Lifeguard Shortage

The two City of Fond du Lac outdoor pools are experiencing a lifeguard shortage. Because there are not enough lifeguards to staff both pools at once only one pool can be opened at a time for the first week.  The Fond du Lac Recreation Department will be holding two training and certification classes the first week of June with the goal of having enough guards by June 14. Taylor Pool passes will be honored at Fairground Aquatic Center through June 14.  Swim team practice and adult lap swim will take place at regular times during this week.

The schedule for the pools will be as follows:

June 7   Fairgrounds Aquatic Center open 12:00-8:00 pm

June 8   Taylor Pool open 11:45-6- pm

June 9 & 10 both pools closed

June 11   Fairgrounds Aquatic Center open 12:00-8:00 pm

June 12 Taylor Pool open 11:45-6:00 pm

June 13 Taylor Pool Swim Meet- no open swim

June 13 Fairgrounds Aquatic Center open 12:00-8:00 pm

June 14   Taylor Pool Swim Meet – no open swim

June 14   Fairgrounds Aquatic Center open 12:00-8:00 pm

June 15   Both pools open regular hours
