Powerball climbs to $1.3 billion after no winner Monday night

With no winner in the Powerball lottery Monday night, September 1, 2025, the jackpot grows to an estimated 1.3 billion dollars for the next drawing which will take place Wednesday night.
Monday night’s drawing had 12 tickets match all five regular numbers, though none had the Powerball.
Despite the large jackpot, it would only be the 9th largest in US Lottery history with Powerball having four jackpots larger.
The largest US lottery Jackpot was just over $2 billion set back in November of 2022. One winner in California won that Powerball lottery with a nearly $1 billion pay out after taxes.
During 2024, $7.8 billion dollars was spent in the US on Powerball lottery tickets.
