Powerball Lottery Again Tops $1 Billion For October 2nd Drawing

For the 4th time this year, a US lottery jackpot has risen above the $1 billion dollar mark. Powerball lottery players will now be playing for an estimated $1.04 billion after no grand prize winner was picked in Saturday’s drawing.

Despite it’s size seeming large, the jackpot for tonight’s drawing is only half of what the record Powerball jackpot is, which reached $2.04 billion just under a year ago in November of last year.

Tonight’s jackpot makes this the 9th – billion dollar lottery jackpot in US history since the first time it happened in 2016. That also was the Powerball lottery, reaching just over $1.5 billion dollars on January 13th of that year.
