Price of US postal stamps to increase

A first-class forever stamp will soon cost 73 cents, which is a nickel more than the current 68-cent price tag.

Prices for other services are also increasing, including postcards and metered letters.

The new prices take effect on July 14.

The hikes are part of the US Postal Service 10-year Delivering for America plan which is expected to generate $44 billion in additional revenue by 2031.
