Princeton Man Sentenced for Tenth OWI Offense

A Princeton man will spend
the next five years behind bars for his tenth OWI offense. 40-year old Jeremy
Kirst will also spend five years on extended supervision after pleading no
contest to the OWI and felony Fleeing and Officer, while a number of
misdemeanors were dismissed.

Kirst was pulled over along Highway 23 in the Town
of Brooklyn
last February before fleeing at speeds around 85-miles per hour through farm
fields before hitting an embankment and flipping into a ditch. He then took off
on foot and stole a vehicle from a local excavating company before leading
police to a Waushara
County
residence – where
he was arrested.
