Promise Program A Benefit For MPTC Students
Applications are being taken now for a program at Moraine Park Technical College that could provide free tuition for those who wouldn’t normally be able to afford college. Those who qualify can get up to five semesters of free tuition at MPTC. Patty Lehn is the Director of Marketing and Communications for Moraine Park. She says the Promise Program identifies students who have the potential for college, but may not be able to afford it. She says it is frustrating to hear about people who go right into a job after high school because they don’t think they can afford college. The Promise Program is a way for the school to give back to the community and support the area’s workforce. The deadline to apply for the program is January 15th.
