Public Information Meetings on County Sales Tax

The Fond du
Lac County
finance committee is hosting a handful of public information meetings over the
next month or so – addressing the future of the county sales tax. The tax was
approved back in 2009 as part of an economic incentive package to keep Mercury
Marine in town. The tax is scheduled to end in 2021, but the county is
questioning whether they should extend it. The first public information meeting
will begin at 6:00pm Wednesday night at the Campbellsport Village Hall. Other meetings are
planned for November 14^th at Waupun
City Hall, December 5^th in
Ripon, and an undecided date in December for a meeting in Fond du Lac.
