Pursuit Suspect Charged In Dodge County Court

The 18-year-old Berlin man who was pursued in separate vehicle chases in Fond du Lac and Dodge Counties has been charged in Dodge County. Cash bond was set at $100,000 for Maxwell Decker when he made his initial appearance on charges related to a burglary in the Fox Lake area during last weekend’s incident. He is also suspected of stealing four cars and twice ditching one of the stolen vehicles during a pursuit after crashing them. Both times he got away by running into a cornfield. Fond du Lac County Chief Deputy Sheriff Mark Strand says Decker will also be charged in Fond du Lac County. Strand says there’s a possibility charges from the multiple counties will be consolidated into one case against Decker, but he says the teen could be looking at some serious jail time. Decker has a preliminary hearing in Dodge County Court next Thursday.
