Reckless driving leads to pursuit and drug arrest in Fond du Lac County

Deputies in Fond du Lac County found a vehicle traveling north on 151 after a half dozen callers had notified Dodge County Dispatch of it’s erratic driving in their county yesterday.

Callers stated the vehicle was varying speeds between 45 and 100 mph, weaving in-between lanes and also struck some traffic cones in the roadway.

Dodge County was unable to get an officer in position in time so the call was relayed to Fond du Lac County.

While Fond du Lac deputies were responding to the area, the Fond du Lac County dispatch center received three more calls reporting the bad driving behavior and also updated dispatch of its current
location. At 5:30 PM an officer attempted to pull the vehicle over near Thill Road, but the driver refused to stop for the officer. Officers were able to box the driver in and slow the vehicle to a stop north of Townline Road.

The 34-year-old female driver from Green Bay was taken into custody without incident. During a search of the vehicle deputies located about 70 suspected fentanyl pills.

The woman is currently being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail on felony eluding, first degree recklessly endangering safety, possession with intent to deliver narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating while intoxicated.
