Record Jackpot Powerball Drawing On Hold Due To Issue Processing Ticket Sales

The drawing of the Powerball lottery has been delayed for Monday nights drawing.

Officials say it was delayed because a participating lottery had issues processing sales. Adding, Powerball requires all 48 participating lotteries to submit their sales and play-data prior to the winning numbers being selected.

Once Powerball receives the outstanding submission, the drawing can proceed.

As of 6:30 AM Tuesday, the Powerball website says “Results pending.”

The jackpot for the drawing is a record 1.9 billion dollars and if no one wins this drawing, it will be a record 41 consecutive draws where no one has won.
