Recovery Time Taking Longer For COVID Patients

Wisconsin Hospital Association CEO Eric Borgerding says the current wave of COVID-19 hospitalizations differs from that seen last fall.

“More people are recovering from COVID this time around, and that’s due to a number of factors. But they’re also typically taking longer to recover, and they’re in the hospital longer.”

The state Department of Health Services reports an overwhelmingly majority of those hospitalized with COVID are not fully vaccinated. Borgerding says health care works are tired, stressed and frustrated.
