Ripon College Ethics Teams Places Second At International Competition
RIPON — DeLou Wilson ’18 of Madison, Wisconsin; Lauren Hince ’18 of Blaine, Minnesota; and Wyatt McGillen ’19 of Kalispell, Montana; placed as first runner-up at the International Business Ethics Case Competition (IBECC) in Santa Monica, California, last weekend.
This international event, hosted by Loyola Marymount University, Bentley University, the University of St. Thomas and The Ethics & Compliance Initiative, featured 35 graduate and undergraduate teams from around the globe. Each team presented a business ethics case in a series of events, including a 30-minute presentation, a 10-minute presentation and a 90-second presentation all judged by business professionals from companies such as Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and Meggitt and many more.
Ripon College presented on the use of facial recognition technology in the service industry titled: “Get Out of My Face: Using Facial Recognition Software in Business and Beyond.”
