Ripon Common Council Approves Bids For Street Projects

The Ripon Common Council this week approved bids for several street projects. City Administrator Lori Rich says Northeast Asphalt was awarded the bid to do reconditioning of Hamburg Street north of Oshkosh Street and for work on Thorne from Lincoln to Woodside. That bid was for just under $144,500. Another bid from RLAM of just under $53,400 was for putting in a right turn lane at Vermont. She says the lane will widen out an intersection, which will allow Alliance Laundry System semi trucks to avoid oncoming traffic when they are coming out of the intersection. The City received two bids for the right turn lane and three bids for the reconditioning of streets.
