Rodgers’ 4 TDs Lead Packers Past Texans

NFL:

Green Bay 35, Houston 20

–Aaron Rodgers threw for 283 yards and four touchdowns as the Packers bounced back from last week’s loss to Tampa Bay with a road victory over the Houston Texans.

Three of Rodgers’ four touchdown passes came in the first half, as he started the scoring with 9:21 left in the first quarter with a three yard pass to Davante Adams. Rodgers would connect with Jace Sternberger and Malik Taylor in the second quarter to give Green Bay a 21-0 lead at the break.

Houston would cut the lead to 21-7 with an 11-play, 75 yard drive to open the second half – capped off by a touchdown pass from DeShaun Watson to David Johnson. The Packers would answer right back with Rodgers’ second touchdown pass to Adams, a 45 yard score to make it 28-7 at the end of the third quarter.

The Texans would outscore the Packers 13-7 in the fourth quarter, but Green Bay was able to recover a David Johnson fumble after the Texans ran a successful onside kick late in the game to seal the win.
